Youth & Work

The municipality of Roeser, in collaboration with Youth & Work, supports young people in their search for a job or an apprenticeship. Youth & Work supports young people up to the age of 29 until they have found a career path, an apprenticeship or a job. Participation is free of charge and voluntary.

Unemployment can affect any young person: problems at school, conflicts, bullying, a lack of direction, illness... Once they are unemployed, a vicious circle sets in: no job without work experience or a qualification – no work experience without a job. It is therefore not surprising that many young people are unemployed whilst looking for work. Young people from the municipality of Roeser had sent out countless applications and usually received no reply.

Together with the coach, they identify their personal and professional skills and find solutions and opportunities that suit them. Even after a long period of unemployment, it is possible to find a job.

The current youth unemployment rate in Luxembourg stands at 20%, a situation that also affects the municipality of Roeser. To date, Youth & Work has supported more than 3,000 young people across the country. In doing so, Youth & Work works closely with companies, organisations and chambers of commerce.
