What is digital accessibility?
Everyone should be able to easily use and consult the information on a website or an app, in particular people with disabilities and/or using assistive software or specialised equipment (blind, partially sighted or otherwise disabled people).

These websites are partially compliant with the European Standard EN 301 549 and the Mobile App Accessibility Assessment Framework (RAAM) version 1.1, due to the reasons listed below.

Non-conformities
While using keyboard navigation:
- Some hidden content has to be skipped before reaching navigation.
- It is possible to reach content behind the open navigation.
- It is not possible to close the menu with the "escape"-key.
- Navigation has to be done with "arrow"-keys instead of "tab"-key
- Some information is displayed on narrow screens as a tab list that cannot be navigated properly.
While using screen-reader:
- No initial focus is defined on screen load, causing screen readers to start reading content automatically instead of from a meaningful focus target.
- Talkback on Android does not recognize headers in some content.
Feeds offer a button to manually load more entries. When using this button, focus is not placed on newly added elements.
Disproportionate burden
- Not all graphics in image-form have a proper description.
- Not all documents available in the application comply with the EN 301 549 V2.1.2 standard. We will endeavor to provide you with information on an accessible alternative upon request.
- Most of the published videos are not subtitled (or have subtitles embedded in the image) due to resource constraints.
- Most of the published videos do not contain audio descriptions due to resource constraints.
- Language changes are not reported for certain French, German, or Luxembourgish terms, depending on the content context.

Accessibility features
- An automatic adjustment of the contrast based on the device settings and adjustable via a button in the app itself.
How to use:- Open the menu by clicking the burger icon on top left.
- Select “Settings”.
- Select “Contrast”. (third option).
- This opens a dialog with the following options:
- Use device setting - The app follows your system contrast preference.
- Less contrast - Default colors.
- More contrast - Colors with enhanced contrast.
- Select one of the contrast options.
- Tap “Confirm” to apply the change.
- The change takes effect immediately. No app restart is required.
- Possibility to use a dyslexia-friendly font. (Not compatible with enlarged text on iOS)
How to use:- Open the menu by clicking the burger icon on top left.
- Select “Settings”.
- Enable “Use dyslexia-friendly font” (last option).
- Toggle the checkbox to activate/deactivate the font.
- The change takes effect immediately. No app restart is required.
